Extension of outlets


The way that they are trying to sell music is on TV on the Internet like on some sites like YouTube when you are watching the song you can pay the song in the links on the song in the streets like having the song on the walls and showing people the songs but back in the 1986 there was a thing called the Panoram and it was a machine were you put in a courtier and you would see the music video on the screen and hear it they would normally be in the dinners but it was called the Soundies and it revolutionised music.


Promotion


Promotion for a band would be when they have mad there own songs and they are trying to promote it like putting there songs on the internet and putting them on there own web sight and hading them out to people and trying things to get them self herd but if they were with a recode company they could just make an album and they could advertise it on TV and other means.



Extension of income/power


Extension of income and power is about the artist trying to have all of the power in which they are trying to do so with Economic power is when someone in their music tries to show power and wealth in there video so having all of the nice cars and money and girls and the best example is 50 Cent he does it in all of his videos. Artistic power control of their own image and how it is used or appears to the media so with lady gaga so has a very strange and weird outlook on what she does but everyone does not know what she will do next and with the arctic money they are their own band and they can do what they won’t because they don’t have any one telling them what to do they have complete power same as lady gaga. Ideological power in terms of their influence upon the audience which may take the form style influence on fashion or Attitude influence on audience opinions. U2’s Bono attempts to be an example of the latter Bono is trying to save the word with the live aid and because he is famous then people thing that he is doing well and this is the same with lots of other famous people.


Producers’ Strategies


Major Labels VS Own Produced with the Major labels they have control of the song and what they but in the songs and how everything is in the videos and how it is produced and everything what happens but if it a own producer then they can do what they won’t and when and how.
